Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 October 2026

The short version: GearKit is a notebook for looking after your gear. The longer version below is what you agree to by using the apps or this website.

Agreeing to these terms

By installing GearKit or using gearkit.pixeesoft.dev you agree to these terms. GearKit is made by Pixeesoft GmbH, Switzerland. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or the site.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use GearKit on devices you own. The rules of the store you installed from (Apple App Store or Google Play) apply as well. Please don’t resell, tamper with or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.

Your data, your responsibility

Everything you enter lives on your device; we hold no copy and can restore nothing. The app makes a backup file in Settings → Export backup; please use it before switching or wiping phones. Lost data without a backup is, unfortunately, lost.

The one-time unlock

The free garage holds 15 items; a single one-time purchase lifts the limit forever. The purchase is processed by Apple or Google under their terms and belongs to the store account that bought it. Refunds follow the store’s policies. Prices may change and features may evolve; the unlock never turns into a subscription.

Share links

The content of a share link comes from its sender, not from us. Anyone holding a link can read the schedule inside, so share thoughtfully and only open links from people you trust.

No promises (“as is”)

GearKit is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. It is a memory aid, not a safety device: intervals and reminders are what you set, not the manufacturer’s instructions. Always follow the manufacturer’s service schedule and safety advice, and don’t rely on GearKit where a missed reminder could cause harm. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the unlock.

Changes

We may update the app, the site and these terms. Material changes appear on this page with a new date above. Using GearKit after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, and disputes belong to the courts of Switzerland. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain untouched.
